Alezio’s Got Talent” was a youth exchange, funded by the Erasmus + Programme, which involved 31 teenagers from Italy, Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia and Spain.
The protagonists were girls and boys sharing the same passion for music and the desire to discover the culture and traditions of the other participating countries and, from 18 to 28 February 2019, they had the opportunity to follow multiple music workshops for improvement in the premises of Area Lab, the Urban Laboratory of Alezio. Travel and accommodation costs are completely covered by the Erasmus+ Programme.
The participation to the exchange was a unique opportunity for these young people, who often, in fact, do not have the opportunity or the stimuli to travel, learn about other European cultures and participate in unconventional training experiences. The exchange gave them the opportunity to reflect on the value of European citizenship and the opportunities that result from it – also through the presentations on the Erasmus+ programme planned during the project.
The activities foreseen during the exchange, in particular, have been divided into two phases: in the first part of the
exchange, participants were involved in workshops sharing the musical traditions of
each country. Then they worked in groups to create a melody,
accompanied by choreography and text. In this way, the young people involved have had the opportunity to learn more about the
Culture and that of the other partner nations, acquiring new musical skills, including
in ICT through peer learning and non-formal education.
